MSNBC To Israel: It’s Not That Bad

By Breeanne Howe

While rockets from Gaza being fired at Israel happen throughout the year, this past week has seen a severe increase in the ongoing attack of Israel.  Between November 14th and 17th, 740 rockets were fired at Israel, with Jerusalem and Tel Aviv being targeted for the first time since the Gulf War.

Despite the fact that schools are closed in Israel and families must stay within 15 seconds of a bomb shelter, MSNBC anchor Mara Schiavocampo questioned Israel’s defense in her interview with Israeli Ambassador Michael Oren.

Living under the threat of rocket attack is certainly a psychological trauma. But what would you say to those who argue that the rockets are essentially very ineffective, they rarely do damage and that the response from Israelis is disproportional to the threat they’re under?

In other words, not that many Israelis have been killed and the majority of your buildings are still standing, so why all the fuss Israel?  With friends like these….  Luckily, Ambassador Oren is familiar with the worldwide bias against Israel and was ready with a response that even left-leaning MSNBC should be able to comprehend.
