NPR Blames “Antigovernment and Right-Wing Individuals” for Boston Attack

By Breeanne Howe

While most news outlets have managed to somewhat temper the all too common blame game that occurs after attacks such as the one that occurred mere days ago in Boston, NPR decided to go all in on who may have perpetrated such a violent crime.

According to NPR Counterterrorism Correspondent Dina Temple Raston, who spoke with officials about the Boston attacks, “April is a big month for antigovernment and right-wing individuals.”  What makes this such a good month for attacking innocent Americans?  Apparently, April 20th is the anniversary of the Columbine shootings and it is Hitler’s birthday.  Raston went on to explain that the FBI is comparing the Boston attack to the 1996 Olympic bombings in Atlanta due to similarities between the explosive devices.

While parts of the bombs have been recovered and are being analyzed by officials, there have been no announcements of suspicions of any particular group as being responsible for the Boston attacks.
